Welcome to the Beltz Master Planning website.  During the next few months OPRD will be using this site to publish Master Planning updates, public meeting information, and other resources related to the development of Oregon’s newest State Park.   1. On Parking: A (near blue house and current dike access): This looks like a good “right now” solution but assumes the dike will always be there. If the dike is damaged would it be repaired? I’m not sure this is the best place for a parking area looking at it though a 20 year window.

    B (more middle of the property, south of “A”): The more I thought about it, I like this location. A new trail would need to be constructed to the existing trail system. Advantages of this location, as I see it, are a little more distance from the esturary to protect it, a little farther away from the errosive effects of the water and not having quite as direct a connection to the end of the beach that would somewhat limit access.

    C (adjacent to Tierra Del Mar): Good also, another place to park cars for beach access and would take some of the load off parking on the sides of Tierra Del Mar’s streets.
